Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Upon your arrival at the airport in the morning at 7:00 am, or after breakfast at your Nairobi hotel, you will be picked up and driven to Samburu National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at the Samburu Sopa Lodge. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. During the drive, you’ll have the chance to spot the Samburu Special Five (Grevy zebra, gerenuk, Somali ostrich, beisa oryx, and reticulated giraffe), along with lions, leopards, elephants, and other large game.
Accommodation: Samburu Sopa Lodge
Day 2: Samburu National Reserve
You will rise early in the morning, enjoy a cup of coffee, and head out for a morning game drive to search for the big game. Afterward, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Spend some time relaxing at the lodge and making use of its facilities. Enjoy lunch at the lodge before heading out for an evening game drive in search of more big game. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park
You will wake up at dawn, enjoy a cup of coffee, and head out for an early morning game drive when the animals are most active. Afterward, return to the lodge for a full breakfast. Following breakfast, check out and depart from Samburu, heading towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at Flamingo Hill Camp. After a relaxing lunch, spend some time at the camp before setting out for an evening game drive at 4:00 pm. Lake Nakuru is famous worldwide for its flamingos and alkaline waters, and is considered one of the Natural Wonders of the World. It also serves as a sanctuary for rhinos, housing over 40 black rhinos and more than 60 white rhinos. However, the flamingos remain the star attraction. After the game drive, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodation: Flamingo Hill camp
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast, check out and embark on a morning game drive to search for wildlife. Following the drive, leave the park and head further south towards Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch at Enkorok Mara Camp. After lunch, take some time to relax before heading out at 3:30 pm for your first game drive in this vast reserve. Masai Mara is famous for the incredible great migration that occurs from July to October, but it is a year-round destination that offers remarkable wildlife experiences. Throughout the year, you have the opportunity to spot all of the Big Five—lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and Cape buffalo.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you can spend the entire day exploring the park with a packed picnic lunch, or opt for the usual early morning and late afternoon game drives within the Masai Mara National Reserve. Known as Kenya’s most famous park, it boasts an impressive concentration of wildlife, including all of the Big Five. From July to October, the park becomes the stage for the spectacular annual migration, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, along with smaller numbers of zebras and antelopes, move from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park in search of fresh grazing. The predators follow the migrating herds, making this the best time to witness thrilling animal interactions, especially if you have the chance to see the wildebeests cross the Mara River, where they must also avoid crocodiles. After the game drive, return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Accommodation: Enkorok Mara Camp
Day 6: Departure
Enjoy breakfast at the camp, then check out and depart from Masai Mara, heading back to Nairobi. If you’re interested in visiting a Maasai village, you can do so on your way out of the reserve.
