Key Information
This is a brief but thoughtfully crafted safari that takes you to Amboseli National Park, often referred to as the Kilimanjaro Royal Court. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of elephants grazing in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, offering spectacular views of Africa’s tallest mountain. Expect close encounters with African elephants, along with sightings of other incredible wildlife.
Day 1: Nairobi To Amboseli National Park
You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport at 7:00 am and begin your journey to Amboseli. Traveling along the busy Nairobi-Mombasa highway, you’ll arrive in time for lunch at Amboseli Sopa Lodge. After settling in and relaxing at the lodge, you’ll head out for an afternoon game drive starting at 3:00 pm. Amboseli National Park is renowned for its big game, particularly elephants, lions, and cheetahs, and is also known for its stunning scenic beauty. The park features five main wildlife habitats, including a dry lakebed – Lake Amboseli. These habitats consist of open plains, extensive yellow-barked acacia woodlands, rocky lava-strewn thorn-bush areas, swamps and marshes, and at the western end of the reserve, the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok, which rises over 2,760 meters (8,300 feet) and remains largely unexplored zoologically.

Day: Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you’ll check out of the camp with a packed picnic lunch to enjoy within the park. Spend the entire day on a thrilling game drive, taking in stunning views of Africa’s highest mountain while spotting wildlife. You’ll be amazed by the large herds of elephants that call this place home, along with a variety of bird species, including migratory birds. Four of the Big Five are also residents of this park, ensuring a day filled with exciting encounters. In the evening, you’ll return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure
After a morning game drive in Amboseli National Park, you will begin your journey back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight home, marking the conclusion of what we hope has been a memorable safari experience of a lifetime.
