This 10-day Uganda safari and adventure takes you to Uganda’s most visited national park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, exploring the diversity of wildlife and beautiful landscapes this park has to offer. Visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to the giant gorillas, explore Uganda deepest lake with diversity of bird species. You will also visit Fort Portal and see the Amabere caves, which are associated with geographical, cultural and historical facts.
Day 1: ARRIVAL
Arrive and meet your guide who will be waiting to welcome you to Uganda. He will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: DEPART FOR LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
After an early morning breakfast, meet your driver and get ready to transfer to lake Mburo National Park, located in western part of Uganda. You will have a stopover for lunch and relaxation and later on, proceed to the park, arriving in the late afternoon. Check into the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI
Today after having breakfast, you will head for a morning game drive. Get ready to spot herds of Impala, as well as the more unknown Topi, Eland, Klipspringer, Zebra and buffalo. After the experience, you will return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to lake Bunyonyi. Arrive and check into the lodge for relaxation from the journey.
Day 4: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Have breakfast and head for a boat cruise on lake Bunyonyi. This lake is the second deepest lake in Africa. Having a boat cruise on this lake takes you to 29 different Islands found within the lake. You can carry a camera with you to capture some amazing moments. Return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 5: GORILLA TREKKING ADVENTURE
On this day, you will have breakfast early in the morning and your guide will meet you as you proceed to the park’s head quarter for a small briefing on the dos and the don’ts during the trekking adventure. You will be allocated a ranger guide and start the hike through the thick forest of Bwindi. Tracking is tricky and depends on the movements of the gorillas. You will spend up to one hour with the gorillas viewing how they interact and do their things and you will return to the lodge for relaxation.
Day 6: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park is the most popular and most visited savannah national park located in western Uganda. It is the best place to see lions including the tree climbing lions. Arrive and check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE
After breakfast go for a game drive in the Kisenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will see animals of the savanna such as elephants, buffalo, antelopes, lions and others, including some bird species found within the park. Return to the lodge to rest and have lunch. After lunch, go for a boat trip through the kazinga channel which attracts a varied range of animals and birds with one of the largest concentration of hippos and numerous crocodiles. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: TRANSFER TO FORT PORTAL
After an early morning breakfast, depart for Fort Portal. You will visit the Amabere caves for an amazing cultural, geographical, and historical experience. These rock caves are as a result of formation of stalagmites and stalactites named after Nyinamwiru who was the daughter to the region’s ancient king known as king Bukulu. Enjoy the beautiful waterfalls at the caves and hike Nyakasura hills for amazing views.
Day 9: TRANSFER TO KAMPALA
Have breakfast early in the morning and take a drive to Kampala. You will have an opportunity to see the beautiful vegetation and the hospitable people of Uganda. You will have a stop in Mityana town and Mubende where you can refresh midway to your destination. Arrive in Kampala and check into the hotel.
Day 10: DEPARTURE
Have breakfast and get ready to transfer to Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your flight as you say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa.
