This 10 days Uganda safari takes you to Uganda’s most visited national park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, exploring the diversity of wildlife and beautiful landscapes this park has to offer. Visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to the giant gorillas, explore Uganda deepest lake with diversity of bird species. You will also visit Fort Portal and see the Amabere caves, which are associated with geographical, cultural and historical facts.
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your guide will be waiting to welcome you to Uganda. After a warm greeting, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and an overnight stay, marking the beginning of your unforgettable 10-day Uganda safari.
Day 2: Depart for Lake Mburo National Park
After an early breakfast, you’ll meet your driver and head west to Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy a stopover for lunch and relaxation before proceeding to the park. You’ll arrive in the late afternoon and check into your lodge for a peaceful evening with dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Start your day with breakfast, followed by a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. Spot wildlife such as Impalas, Topis, Elands, Klipspringers, Zebras, and buffalo. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and continue your journey to Lake Bunyonyi. Check into your lodge and unwind from the journey.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa. The cruise will take you to some of the 29 islands scattered across the lake. Don’t forget your camera to capture these stunning views. Afterward, return to your lodge for lunch, then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Adventure
Rise early for your exciting gorilla trekking adventure. After breakfast, your guide will escort you to the park’s headquarters for a briefing on trekking guidelines. You’ll be assigned a ranger guide and head into the dense forest of Bwindi to track the gorillas. The trek can be challenging, but once you encounter the gorillas, you’ll have up to an hour to observe them in their natural habitat. Afterward, return to your lodge to relax and enjoy dinner.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast, you’ll embark on a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most visited savannah parks. Known for its diverse wildlife, including tree-climbing lions, the park promises an exciting safari experience. Check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
After breakfast, head out for a game drive in the Kisenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This area is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and lions, as well as an array of bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch, then enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This channel is famous for its high concentration of hippos and crocodiles, as well as a variety of birdlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Transfer to Fort Portal
After breakfast, you’ll depart for Fort Portal, a charming town with cultural and historical significance. Visit the Amabere Caves, known for their impressive stalagmite and stalactite formations. These caves are tied to the legend of Nyinamwiru, the daughter of the ancient king Bukulu. Hike the Nyakasura hills to enjoy stunning views and the beautiful waterfalls surrounding the caves. Afterward, you’ll head back to your lodge for relaxation.
Day 9: Transfer to Kampala
Start your day with an early breakfast and journey towards Uganda’s bustling capital, Kampala. On your way, enjoy the picturesque landscapes and friendly communities of Uganda. You’ll stop in Mityana and Mubende for a refreshing break. Upon arrival in Kampala, check into your hotel and relax for the evening.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your flight, concluding your 10 days Uganda safari. Say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa, filled with memories of a remarkable adventure.
